I found Jackie through the Internet, as having retired to Lympstone, I wanted to work face to face with someone local as I felt I would respond better than having to work through Zoom or other online method. I phoned her initially and found her so sympathetic, generous in the time she gave me and easy to talk to that I knew she would be able to help me.
I am atopic and have had a lifelong issue with allergies of various kinds including dermatitis. Due to a number of concerns and stresses in recent months I had a flare up of severe dermatitis on my hands which I neglected as I was busy with family and then when I did consult my GP, and sent photographs, was initially given incorrect medication so that the condition got worse, became infected and continued for over 2 months. It was also accompanied by an immense amount of anxiety on top of the itchiness and pain. By the time I saw Jackie my hands were improved but were still flaring up as my anxiety continued. I have had just one hypnotherapy session so far and as a result I feel like a different person. I have lost my anxiety and because of this my hands remain good.
I have already got back to cycling and gardening as well as everyday chores, none of which I have been able to do for the past two months. If and when my hands start to itch or be sore, as well as cooling cream I now have thought stopping techniques given to me by Jackie to turn off my anxiety and break the cycle of worry/ itch.
I would definitely recommend Jackie to anyone seeking help. I have found her approachable, empathetic and generous with her time. I feel I could discuss any problem with her. Her voice is soothing and her method relaxing and reassuring. Jackie does all she can Ito put you at ease and her couch is supremely comfortable, an important factor when undergoing hypnotherapy.
